Welcome to Apolda Kennels, specializing in boarding and grooming services for your pet. We have been serving pet owners in the Aurora, Naperville, and the Fox Valley area for over 25 years.

Office Hours

The Apolda office is open to the public during the following hours:

Monday - Friday (except Wednesdays): 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesdays: 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sundays: 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Reservations

Reservations can be made by phone, and are highly recommended. Walk-ins for boarding and grooming are welcome, space provided. We do fill up over major holidays.

Dog Training

Boarding

Apolda offers pet boarding in 15' long by 5' wide by 6' high individual indoor/outdoor runs. The inside is heated and air conditioned.

Required and Recommended Vaccinations

Your pet must be up to date on rabies (RV), distemper (DHLP) and parvo virus (PV) vaccinations.

We recommend your dog be up to date on bordatella.

Food, Bedding, and Medications

Pet food is provided as part of the boarding service. You may bring your own food if you wish. The food should be in a hard bottom, sealable container.

You may bring your pet's bedding, special treats, toys, etc.

Medications will be administered if supplied, though an additional charge may be added. Please call to get a quote.

Walks During Boarding

Apolda offers dog walking during boarding for an additional $20.00 per hour. Minimum walk time is 10 minutes.

Fees

Daily boarding fees for dogs are dependent on size:

Small dogs (up to 50 pounds): $20
Large dogs (between 50 and 80 pounds): $25
Giant dogs (over 80 pounds): $30

Cats are $15 per day.

Pets may be checked in/out during office hours. Pets checked out after 1:00 p.m. will be charged for the day.

Grooming

Standard Grooming

Dog grooming is a brush-out, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, and anal glands expressed. The dog is given a bath, dried, and the haircut is completed.

Baths

Dog bathing includes the grooming described above except for a haircut.

Grooming and Bath Fees

The fees for bathing and grooming depends on the dog's size, coat, and difficulty. Please call for a quote.

Dog Training

Apolda offers private sessions, which are completely individualized and employ a variety of training and behavior modification techniques. Private sessions are recommended to correct severe problems.

Training Fees and Scheduling

The fee for private lessons is $25 for 1/2 hour appointment, $60 for three appointments. Please call to schedule appointments.
